Product Management at Weedmaps is responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and roadmap in order to realize our mission of being the hub for all things cannabis. As a Senior Product Manager, you will own creating product requirements, and coordinate with the technical team, design teams and other stakeholders to develop and design end to end experiences. You will monitor and react to customer and consumer needs and feedback, be comfortable with ambiguity and nimbly and constantly improve and expand the experience.
The Discovery Team’s mission is to build the next generation of software to help cannabis customers connect with local cannabis businesses, brands, and cannabis products that will enrich their lives. Developing a platform to support multiple geographies carries with it many challenges. Discovery interacts with numerous teams across Weedmaps to make this mission a reality across responsive web, Android, and iOS native applications.

Define a world-class customer experience and vision for your team
Set audacious yet realistic and data-driven KPIs for your products that align with company goals
Translate the customer experience into a logically sequenced and optimized product roadmap that drives outcomes against those goals
Maintain and prioritize a product backlog
Lead a cross-functional team of stakeholders to ensure we implement your product vision efficiently and aligned with business objectives
Monitor adoption, usage, and revenue impact of new products and features and report on release impact; iterate as necessary
Collaborate with product, program and engineering leaders to pinpoint new requirements, features, and policies
Oversee enterprise-level product planning
identify new opportunities while prioritizing against a rolling roadmap of business projects and technology initiatives
Write complete and detail-oriented product requirements documents and ensuring clear communication of those requirements to the business, design, usability and engineering teams
Engage with customers through a variety of channels and serve as the voice of the customer internally
Strive to deliver high-quality technology products/services in a very high growth environment where priorities and structures shift rapidly.
4+ years of product management experience in a software technology industry
2+ years experience in consumer-facing online eCommerce, wireless content, or mobile services
Experience managing high-performing agile scrum teams
Strong strategic aptitude; proven ability to define a winning business strategy and product roadmap
Excellent product UX sense; demonstrated success in creating innovative and user-friendly websites and customer-facing features
Excellent communication and persuasion skills; demonstrated success building buy-in for an innovative and bold vision
Strong analytical and quantitative skills; strong bias towards data-based decision making and comfort with pro-forma financial and operational analysis
Technical fluency; comfort understanding and discussing architectural concepts, schedule tradeoffs and new opportunities with technical team members
Proven ability to make smart feature (customer experience) versus time-to-market trade-offs; experience using data and metrics to back up assumptions and assertions of business value
Street smarts and a willingness to roll up one’s sleeves and achieve
You are up to speed on using the latest tools of the trade on day-one: JIRA, Excel, Powerpoint, analytics tools, omni-channel marketing tools, and AB testing
Past experience building product feeds, ElasticSearch based tools, or eCommerce platforms at scale
Comfortable building experiences for both Native platforms and responsive Web
ML and personalization experience including server-side AB testing
