GM / Commercial Lead, Orders
The Revenue team at Weedmaps is helping chart the monetization journey for the largest tech company in the cannabis industry. Our orders and logistics platforms lets dispensaries and delivery services drive order demand (both pickup and delivery), track and manage order status, and create a positive customer purchase experience. Based in Irvine, this role will be responsible for charting product strategy for Weedmaps’ orders platform, driving adoption from both consumers and dispensaries through sales and marketing channels, and achieving KPIs for platform growth and usage.
As GM / Commercial Lead, Orders, you will be responsible for working cross-functionally – across product, sales, marketing, and other teams – to make the orders and logistics platform a commercial success. The right person will combine product vision, sales and marketing, strategy and execution, and influencing skills to achieve management objectives and KPIs for the product.
Work with product to determine the features and capabilities needed to drive value for consumers and businesses
Develop a go-to-market strategy to drive adoption of the platform across markets where Weedmaps is active
Partner with sales leadership and sales ops to enable sales team to effectively sell to and onboard businesses
Partner with product marketing to develop and execute B2C tactics to drive order volume and AOV
Develop and test monetization and pricing strategies
Develop onboarding and support workflows with Moderation and other support teams
Leverage data to drive ongoing insights into Orders / Logistics business
6+ years of experience in revenue / product strategy, sales leadership, general management, or product / performance marketing role
Strong interest and knowledge of transactional platforms
Familiarity with key cross-functional processes (product development, sales enablement, B2C marketing, analytics) and proven ability to work with leaders in these functions towards a common goal
Track record of reaching and exceeding assigned KPIs
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
Strong planning and organizational skills
Transaction platform experience
