What You’ll Do
You got into marketing operations because you’re passionate about creating change and optimization. You love collaborating with stakeholders and providing a partnership approach to the optimization of marketing processes and procedures. You’ve likely had a lot of positions where the partnership you look for has been more of a “service provider” relationship and you’re looking to take a more strategic and influential approach to marketing operations. Sound familiar? We thought so.
At BambooHR, we do marketing operations differently. Operations at Bamboo is a centralized department that partners with stakeholders in the departments they service. You’d be a part of our operations organization and will be viewed by the marketing leadership teams as a consultative partner in driving positive optimization and continuous improvement. The specific responsibilities you’ll have and things you’ll do include:

Driving marketing qualified lead volume holistically across all channels and through operational structures
Creating and managing marketing processes that are efficient, effective, and have high ROI
Partnering with managers to recommend and implement new tools on our technology roadmap
Helping to establish the marketing operational structure within the business (from targeted contacts to MQL)
Optimizing individual demand generation channels
Help maintain and manage our marketing automation platform (Marketo) and working on marketing operations projects (e.g. data cleaning, lead scoring, etc.)
Troubleshooting lead flow volume, respond to marketing business operational needs, and proactively monitoring systems
What You Need to Get the Job Done
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have a deep understanding of multiple marketing channels—how they behave, their metrics of success, how to optimize existing channels and define strategies for new channels.
You’ll need to have confidence in your decision-making and knowledge of marketing platforms, technology, resources and disciplines. You’ll also need to communicate your decisions effectively in interactions with our marketing leadership and executive teams.
In order to be eligible to be considered for this position you will need:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing operations (preferably in a SaaS company)
A demonstrable understanding of common marketing channels (e.g. what they are, how they behave, and how to optimize them with the right technology stack)
Proficiency in understanding of how marketing automation platforms work (beyond their email capabilities)
A proven trait of being highly organized and efficient in managing projects
A deep knowledge of marketing concepts (e.g. SEO, content marketing, PPC, etc.)
To be a clear communicator; particularly with marketing operations lingo
