ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting directly to the VP Partner Operations, PAX is looking for a Manager, ERA Field Engineering to lead our ERA Field Engineering team supporting our ERA platform brand partners around the world.
The ERA Field Engineering team is responsible for building, installing and supporting the various pieces of equipment our ERA brand partners use to fill, laser etch and pack out PAX ERA pods in their respective markets. The ERA Field Engineering team also trains and provides continuous education for brand partner filling, laser etching and packaging operators at their respective facilities.
This role is critical in supporting and managing a team maintaining the high level of operational service PAX provides it’s ERA brand partners. Internally, the role also ensures other teams within PAX are provided with accurate representations of our brand partners’ needs and experience in product design, process improvements and new product or process introductions spanning both hardware and software solutions.
As the PAX Manager, Era Field Engineering, you will:
Manage day-to-day work assignments, deployment schedules and support operations for the ERA Engineering Technician team
Develop and implement incoming partner support issue triage and resolution processes
Help encourage, scope and define process or documentation improvement projects within Partner Operations or in conjunction with cross-functional teams within PAX
Hire, train and provide career development for ERA Engineering Technician staff. Take responsibility for highlighting team and individual accomplishments to the wider organization
Work closely with Partner Operations account management and manufacturing engineering teams on major initiatives, new partner onboarding and system or process improvement projects
Ensure all relevant documentation and standard operating procedures are adhered to and manage continuous improvement processes for internal or partner-facing content
WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN YOU
3 to 5 years working in dynamic, high growth, technical environments and quickly adapting processes to meet business requirements or optimization goals
3+ years direct management experience of a field technician staff with a combination of online/remote support and onsite support responsibilities
Experience with developing lean incident management, problem management and change management processes
Comfortable working with and deploying remote personnel and managing teams and direct reports in other time zones
Experience with support of fluid dispensing, laser etching or computerized machinery or equipment a plus
BS/BA in Management, Engineering, Mechanical, Information Systems or relevant work experience
