Educational and Experience Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years old.
Four-year degree in chemical, biological or other accredited science degree
Minimum 1 years’ experience analyzing data acquired using instruments such as HPLC, UPLC, GCMS, ICPMS.
Able to quickly learn and use a variety of of laboratory computer applications
Well versed in data analysis (chemical, biological, or both) and analytical instruments
Ability to think critically and reasonably.
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Minimum of 1 year of experience working in an accredited laboratory environment.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced setting, prioritize assignments, organize data.
Must be self motivated.
Position success criteria:
A Laboratory Analyst’s duties and responsibilities includes, but are not be limited, to acquiring and analyzing data used to perform and report analytical laboratory testing of cannabis products, assisting with sample preparation. A good candidate will have a positive attitude and enjoy working with a team. The ideal candidate would have experience in a laboratory setting testing cannabis products to find potency.
Operate HPLC equipment safely. Equipment is; Homogenizer, Moisture analyzer, and Analytical balance. As well as running and analyzing the data that is collected through the Shimadzu HPLC.
Conducts themselves safely and professionally.
Perform preparation and cleaning of equipment and work space efficiently.
Analyze and track critical data.
Follows good manufacturing practice standards.
Work in hazardous environments and conditions.
Record data efficiently and effectively within an organize excel spreadsheet.
You will be required to perform the following types of processes
Perform sample preparation of fresh cannabis and concentrates.
Analysis of data to find potency
Report data for the testing/screening for cannabinoid potency.
Identify and Analyze data accurately and timely.
As assigned, perform advanced lab support functions such as calibration standard preparation, analytical equipment tuning and maintenance, and analysis of data used for laboratory testing.
Assist in the cutting of samples of specific plants, at specific locations.
You must be able to proficiently handle the following hazardous materials;
Critically hot material
Cryogenic cold material
Other critical responsibilities
Interact with Metrc, inventory systems, and reports to insure that all material is being tracked in accordance with state law
Logging and reporting as required by state law
Preparing and cleaning equipment
Maintain extraction equipment and laboratory facility
Maintaining strict inventory records of all materials, chemicals and equipment used in the laboratory
Operating, maintaining, and making adjustments and repairs to laboratory equipment
Washing and sterilizing laboratory glassware
Performing clerical work related to laboratory activities such as record keeping
Interact with senior team
Be punctual and exhibit an outstandingly positive attitude
Attend and add value to team meetings
Participate in strategic discussions about company, direction, execution, etc.
Engage in honest, innovative, problem solving dialogue
Promote the mission, vision and values of the company to all team members at all times
