This field-based role is responsible for design, creation, implementation and administration of retail, cultivation and manufacturing construction projects (new/expansion/within in-the-walls remodels projects) under the guidance of the Director of Facilities and supporting the Regional Facility Manager. Responsibilities include creation and implementation of capital programs, scheduled maintenance services, disaster recovery planning, vendor management services, budget management and administration, quality control, and relationship building with internal and external engineering and operations partners. Expectation of daily interaction with all levels of operational leadership (Managers, Directors and VP’s) across all three business divisions (Retail, Cultivation and Processing) as well as consistent impact across the organization advancing the mission of customer service and brand growth through the execution of Harvest’s core values.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Must be willing to travel extensively across the United States. This is a multi-state, multi-site, position requiring 50-75% travel
Immediately provide management and administrative support for ongoing expansion and construction projects for the retail sale, cultivation, processing and distribution of cannabis products across multiple states
Prioritize operating needs to develop multi-year capital strategy with a focus on safety of personnel, quality of work, on time delivery and cost management while addressing core maintenance needs
Identify, plan and administer 25-50 capital expansion and revitalization projects annually, including design and construction projects along with current facility improvements such as HVAC replacements, parking lot replacements, exterior LED retrofits, scissor/roll down gates, dumpster enclosures, etc…
Support operational planning through technical expertise and process adherence for bid review, standardized SOWs, change order management, and real-time reporting.
In partnership with facility maintenance and operational leadership, design and create processes to execute scheduled maintenance services per Harvest facility care standards for all facility and production equipment
Identify and plan innovative strategies and tactics to improve service delivery and reduce overall expense associated with scheduled services and down time.
Build productive and collaborative relationships with regional operation leadership in order to create and implement company-wide CMMS including a reactive repair call center (as needed) in response to day-to-day execution of the Harvest facility care standard. 24/7 availability may be required.
Provide strategic leadership and tactical support in the event of a major disaster event or emergency situation in assigned operating division
Oversee vendor management including sourcing, KPI creation and tracking, quality control, administrative compliance, and issue escalation/resolution
Design and create project packages, including all relevant permissions, authorizations, certifications, and any architectural or engineering plans, designs and blueprints.
Ensure vendors adhere to all Harvest internal requirements in addition to local/state/federal law
Design, create and implement sound business practices to source and on-board vendor partners under the most cost-effective model while constantly focusing on service delivery standards
Develop and implement administrative processes to ensure appropriate cost control / billing practices and insurance requirements are satisfied.
Participate in the development of zero-based capital budgets annually and re-forecast quarterly
Responsible for creating and administering appropriate spend practices and adhering to financial obligations including ROI generation in the management of $10-50M annually in capital.
Responsible for creating and administering appropriate spend practices and adhering to financial obligations in the management of $2M – $3M annually in expense costs.

Through extended periods, must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking throughout the work day. Must be capable of working in front of a computer for extended periods of time based on job duties listed above.
General tool, hardware, ladder, and building skills. Must be able to use a 12’ extension ladder.
At least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the US; proper employment documentation; reliable transportation; valid driver’s license.
Environmental Requirements and Exposure, depending on work location:
Exposure to fertilizer, dusts, odors, high heat, low temperature, high and low humidity, high noise levels, vibrations, water, dry salts, allergens, pollen, dust, plant pathogens, other volatile organic compounds, and other environmental variables.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Master’s in construction management, facilities maintenance, engineering preferred, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
At least 5+ years of management experience in field- based facilities maintenance for a company with a multi-state, multi-site presence.
