Processing/Trim Technicians are responsible for all aspects of plant processing from crop harvest through trimming, packaging and labeling of the final product ready for customer sale as outlined by the management team. These responsibilities include assembling completed product materials into various containers and packages as well as ensuring that the appropriate quantity, weight, and type of product is packaged. This position works in a timely manner and strives to increase productivity and acts with professional regard to the management and use of all production facilities and processing equipment. All qualified applicants will be trained in the use of equipment for processing.
Major Areas of Responsibility include:
Assisting in the harvest and post harvest plant processing of medical cannabis. This will be accomplished by performing various tasks:
Fan leaf removal, harvest, drying, trimming, curing, weighing, packaging, labeling, recording, inspection of product in addition to; cleaning and sanitation.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Hand trim fan leaves from medical marijuana plants before harvest using shears, scissors, etc.
Transport harvested plants to drying and hang to be dried.
Operate a trimming machine (if needed) to remove guard and/ orsugar leaves from medical marijuana.
Weigh, package, label, record/track medical cannabis for distribution.
Take instructions and help out on tasks delegated by the processing manager and management team.
Work in a quick and efficient manner.•Maintain a culture of professionalism and service.
Ensure daily compliance with policies including but not limited to; state compliance, security protocols, access protocols, dress code and work schedules.
Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
Examining plants for signs of pests or disease.
Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities):
Must pass a background check and submit personal information to become a state agent.Previous experience in plant processing preferred:
Speed and precision withequipmentand attention to detail
General knowledge of weights and measurement
Ability to multi-task and maintain work consistency on a daily basis
High attention to detail•Strong written and verbal communication
Standing/sitting for long periods of time

Background Screening and Insurable Driving Record:
As a condition of employment and in compliance with the Louisiana State Medical Marijuana Program all employees of the Company who come in contact with or handle medical marijuana, including medical marijuana products, shall be subject to a criminal background screening. Employment decisions, in compliance with state law, were based on an employee’s background report at the time of hire. Employees have a duty to report any changes in their background to their Manager as soon as the employee is aware of the event. This position requires an individual to possess an insurable driving record and a valid driver’s license.

Experience and Education:
Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in horticulture, plant science, manufacturing or business administration and one to three years of experience in related position. Experience must include hands-on responsibility for the full scope production activities, both operations and analysis.
